After a leisurely breakfast and coffee stop at Miller’s Cafe, and a quick visit to Just L (our new favorite mid-century modern furniture store that I wrote about here), we headed down to the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway. From there we rode the tram to the top of the mountain, where we enjoyed a brief hike and sweeping views of the White Mountains.
We picked up some lunch at a nearby convenience store, and headed over to Echo Lake for a picnic lunch. It was turning out to be a picture-perfect fall day.
We spent several hours sitting by the lake reading, and watching the geese.
After that, we called it a day and went back to the cabin to resume relaxing. Because in case you’re unaware, that’s actually what you’re supposed to do on vacation.
