It’s no secret that I love a good deal. In fact, I love it so much that I usually brag about it to anyone and everyone that will listen. Lucky for me, I can now do that right here!
So here’s the cushy deal I recently got at my favorite Goodwill store. Ready?
Three square down pillows – two blue, one tan – with good, zip-off covers for $2.00 a piece. In really good condition. I don’t know about you, but I thought that was a great find. I didn’t have a use for them at the moment, but I knew I couldn’t go wrong by snagging them and storing them “just in case.” Oh, and just for the record – I would only buy down pillows used. They can easily be washed in the machine to ensure there’s no funny business going on.
When I was busily revamping my bedroom, I discovered that the blue of the pillows tied right into the batik fabric I used for my window treatment. Too lazy to sew two whole new pillow covers, I stitched a square of the batik fabric into each of the blue pillows. Voila!
What about you all? Any tricks you have for snagging cheap pillows?
