Fresh Pomegranate Martinis & Pomegranate-Lime Sodas

Please forgive me – yesterday I overslept so I lost out on my early-morning blogging time.  But better late than never, I’m back with another reason for you to make your own Fresh Pomegranate-Infused Vodka. There are a ton of recipes for Pomegranate Martinis out there, but the one that I think is simplest is this version below.  After the recipe, I’ll share some of the ways you can mix it up.

Jane’s PomTini

Ingredients:

  1. Fresh Pomegranate Vodka
  2. Chambord Raspberry Liqueur
  3. Limes
  4. Simple Syrup
  5. Pomegranate Seeds

Let’s Make a Drink!

  1. Grab your cocktail mixer, and pour a splash of simple syrup in the bottom.
  2. Add 3 shots Pom Vodka and a splash of Chambord.
  3. Add some ice and shake that thing!
  4. Grab a martini glass and sprinkle some Pomegranate seeds in the bottom.
  5. Strain the martini into the glass.
  6. Garnish with a twist of lime.

The amount of simple syrup can be changed up, depending on how sweet your guests like it.

And Now for Some Variations!

Just Add Bubbly: Once the PomTini is in the glass, add a splash of champagne just for some bubbly goodness.

A Different Kind of Fruity:  Don’t have Chambord on hand? A splash of Cointreau (orange flavored liqueur) mixes in beautifully.  Just substitute the squeeze of lime for a squeeze of orange, and garnish with a slice of the same fruit.  Or Blood Orange. That would rock.

I’m a Cheap Drunk:  If you only drink once a month and you’re worried about your PomTini going to your head, mix equal parts POM juice and Pom Vodka to make the cocktail a little less intoxicating.

And of course . . . The Designated Driver Version!

As I mentioned before, at The Borrowed Abode there’s always creative cocktails for the designated driver.  Here’s how I whipped up a Faux-tini for Ryan:

Ingredients:

  1. Fresh Pomegranate Juice
  2. Limes
  3. Simple Syrup
  4. Pomegranate Seeds

Let’s Make a Drink!

  1. Grab your cocktail mixer, and pour a splash of simple syrup in the bottom.
  2. Add 1 cup POM Juice and a big squeeze or two of lime.
  3. Add some ice and shake that thing!
  4. Strain into a martini glass and add a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds just for fun.

Pomegranate-Lime Soda

When I entertain, I love offering guests some freshly made sodas, and they’re super easy to make.

Ingredients:

  1. Fresh Pomegranate Juice
  2. Limes
  3. Simple Syrup
  4. Club Soda

Let’s Make a Drink!

Pour a splash of simple syrup into a glass.  Add a squeeze or two of lime.  Stir to mix just a little.  Add ice, then pour equal parts POM Juice and Club Soda into a glass. Pop a straw in that thing, and voila!

Party Girl Version (with alcohol):  Just switch up the POM Juice for some of your fresh Pomegranate Vodka, and you’ve got yourself a super easy, fizzy cocktail.

Well, I think I’ve beat this dead horse as much as is humanly possible.  In case you missed it, here’s a link to my other Pomegranate Vodka recipe – the Sparkling Pomegranate-Rosemary Cocktail.  And please, stay safe this holiday season.
