Holy Cow, What an Awesome Day!

Holy cannoli!  I went to bed last night, having written a post for this morning lamenting my lack of blog motivation, and thinking I’d end the week on a glum note.  Boy, was I wrong.  Today two bloggers “featured” me.   And as if that’s not enough, a handful of others mentioned me and/or passed on blogger awards to me in the last few weeks . . . and I realized it’s high time I thanked them properly.

But first, a thank you to all of my lovely readers, who filled my inbox with such awesome and positive emails (and blog comments) this morning.  Lets just say that you put a stop to my moping, and for that, Ryan thanks you.

Next, imagine my surprise when I checked my email and discovered that Mrs. Limestone of A Brooklyn Limestone featured my window-frame-turned-jewelry-display today.

Kicking it up to a double-whammy of blog features was Tonya at Budget Decorating, who called me and Ryan and rental-decorating duo (love that term!) and highlighted our blog as the Budget Decorating Blog of the Week.

And be sure to visit Christina of the Scrappy Housewife. Inspired by my ‘Scape the Table post, she used an pretty, white Ikea tray to create a quick-n-easy tablescape too!

It’s always super flattering to see that someone not only liked my idea, but was inspired by it.

And now for some long-overdue blog award thank-yous:

Megan from Honey We’re Home, an awesome blogger whom I had the pleasure of meeting at Blissdom, passed on the Stylish Blogger Award to me in January.  She’s sweet as pie, has gorgeous  style, and manages to work part-time as an attorney while balancing motherhood, an organizing business, and her home decorating blog.  If that’s not hardcore, then I don’t know what is.

I’d also like to thank Leasa of Funkymom Cards for passing on the Versatile Blogger Award to me!  Now if only some of her cleanliness was catching . . . She is apparently “crazy fanatical” about sweeping her floors.  Leasa, think you can pass that habit onto me with the award? 😉

Last but DEFINITELY not least, Lauren from Our Big Fat Farm Wedding handed out a Versatile Blogger Award to us as well.   A farm wedding?  Right up my alley.  Right now she’s got a poll up on her site to see if her two precious pups should play a role in the wedding ceremony.  How fun is that?  Maybe it’s because they look like the pups I had as a child, but the second I saw them my heart melted.

So there you have it:  if all this blog love isn’t motivating, then I don’t know what is.  I am re-inspired, and can’t wait to share some good stuff with you all next week.  Have an awesome weekend!
