In Progress

Flour power

Whoa!  I’m up to my elbows in flour, sugar, and vegan shortening. Why?  Because I’m only working on the most important DIY project of my life to date.

I’m making the wedding cake for one of my very best friends’ upcoming nuptials.  But it’s not just any cake, it’s a vegan cake.  That actually tastes good.

So please stand by while I proceed to create a disaster in my kitchen.  Assuming there are no major cakewrecks, I’ll be back tomorrow to share one of my most favorite rooms in the new house.  And on Monday I’ll share some photos of the finished cake!

Ooh- I love the new look you have for your blog!!! I’m excited to see the final result of the cake- I bet it will be wonderful!

And yes, when you are done moving you should try the stuff-fast again. It would be really hard to do that now- there’s always so many little things you have to run out and buy when you are moving and getting set up in a new place! =)

I can’t wait to hear all about this cake! As someone who’s been a vegan for almost 10 years (and as someone who loves cake!) I can’t wait to hear how this turns out. Good luck baking! 🙂
