This weekend I’m doing some more work on transforming my new bedroom into a modern beachy oasis. While perusing the archives at DecorPad, I stumbled upon an image that really spoke to me. I think this “laundry room” really evokes the feeling I’m going for: calm and serene, with a beachy tone – but not overly beachy in a traditional way. I don’t want seashells and ocean-themed knickknacks everywhere. Maybe I’m more working towards a modern room whose colors and feel are slightly influenced by the ocean.

ohhhhh I love this! I definitely get a beachy feel from this room, without any overt beach references! I always think that this bright, airy is perfect as a beach oasis inspiration!
