Thrifting, Upcycling, Trash Picking

Pondering a giveaway. . .

I’ve done it again.  Accumulated too much stuff, that is.   I’ve been sorting and organizing and Freecycling like crazy since the new year began.  I’ve got a few funky vintage items which I just couldn’t bear to Freecycle to someone who may not appreciate them.  Therefore I’m considering either selling them on eBay or Etsy or doing a giveaway!

So I ask you:  of the below items, are there any that you’d be interested in if I did a giveaway?

Vintage Lenox Temperware – “Sprite” pattern

I’d do a giveaway of four place settings (dinner plate, salad plate, cereal bowl, bread plate, cup, saucer).  This stuff is precious but I just have too many dishes!  My only concern is the cost of shipping such heavy stoneware dishes.  I’ll look into it if y’all are interested!

Vintage Red and White Cake Tin

In decent shape but with some rust on the inside.  Still cute as pie in my glass-doored cabinet!

Oh my gosh – what a BRILLIANT idea. I just have to share your creativity on my site one of these days. What a cool way to pass on something you love. And you’re right, Jane. Those dishes are cute!

I am interested in your sprite dishes. These dishes are the ones my husband I picked out when we were married in 1974.

Hi Tammy, I decided not to use the dishes for a giveaway as the shipping is sooo expensive for them (because they’re so heavy). I’ve decided to keep them for now. I did see that Replacements Limited and eBay both have the Sprite dishes too. Thanks for stopping by, and I’m glad to know I’m not the only one out there who loves that pattern!
My dad truly is the best. He’s so smart and helpful with my projects!

Thank you so much for the response. If you ever decide to sale the dishes I will pay for shipping.I was looking on different web sites an was in touch with a lady in Alanta about a 49 piece place setting she would only take cash and would not ship the dishes . We were arranging to have a friend pick the dishes up . We reicived a e-mail she sold the dishes. We will keep looking . We use the dishes we have everyday and when we have company we set the table with every other plate with a cream color dish which looks very nice. Enjoy your day.
